The Founder: Elizabeth Forbes-Stobbe 

I have always loved fragrances and was intrigued by the sense of smell and how it can evoke memories, dreams and emotions in our everyday life. I also had the opportunity to travel to some amazing places where the scents and aromas around me were amazing, from the lavender to the orange groves. I had also completed courses on perfume making/scents and advanced candle making.

For over 32 years, I had been a nurse and cared for others. Helping people is part of my nature, but like many, the pandemic made me re-evaluate what was important and I decided to do something for me, something that was good for my soul.

During lockdown I rediscovered at the age of 57 the joy of making things to relieve the stress, anxiety and the isolation that I felt and She Makes Candles 2.0 was born.

My Kitchen is my workshop and all my products are mixed, hand made and hand poured individually by me using the finest ingredients and oils. There is no better feeling than looking at a beautiful candle or experiencing the gorgeous smell of a diffuser that you have just made.

The idea behind the brand is to create luxury scents at affordable prices, as we all deserve a little luxury in our lives.
